Bio
A native of North Carolina, Deborah has lived in the Triangle since 1974 (ask her about the USO trip that year!) and has witnessed and been a part of the complete metamorphosis of this region! It was in the Triangle where she planted her feet, where she blossomed, where she became a mom, a grandmother and a friend to all! After enjoying a wonderful career with Bayer HealthCare for many years, Deborah found a new passion and profession in medical real estate. Her understanding of this exciting opportunity grew through working with two medical development companies in the Triangle, after which she ultimately founded her own company, NC Medical & Commercial Realty. Deborah spent several years in a successful leasing role with Healthcare Trust of America as their ‘boots on the ground’ here in the Triangle market. Her reach has continued to grow, assisting hundreds of medical professionals find locations for their new or expanding practices across the Triangle.
Deborah served as president of the North Carolina Medical Society Alliance during 2014-2015 and was co-president of the Wake County Medical Society Alliance in 2013-2014. Deb is passionate about serving her community and those in situations of need. Through her work with the ‘Wackies’ (Wild Wacky Wonderful Women of the World) she has been able to orchestrate fundraising events and activities that have raised thousands of dollars for those in need. She currently serves on several charitable boards/committees, including the NCMSA, The North Carolina Physicians Health Program (NCPHP), Wake County Meals on Wheels, the Eastern Region American Red Cross Ball Committee, as well as serving on the community advisory board for First Citizens Bank. She’s looking forward to getting back to singing again with the Concert Singers of Cary, post pandemic!
