Les has over 45 years of experience as a full-time real estate broker in the Triangle. He has successfully brokered most types and sizes of real estate but specializes in the listing of income-producing properties and commercial land for owner-clients.
Les has held a broker’s license since 1974 and is a 1976 graduate of the North Carolina Realtor’s Institute. He has taken appraisal courses 1A, 1B, and II from the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers to aid in valuing listings. In 2002, he was awarded the prestigious Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation from the CCIM Institute of the National Board of Realtors after meeting experience and education requirements.
Over the course of his career, Les has encountered all components of real estate transactions and developed a comprehensive knowledge of financing, law, leasing, appraising, management, construction, and environmental services.
His network encompasses local buyers, sellers, attorneys, lenders, and real estate service providers which allows his properties a wide range of exposure. He owes his longevity in the competitive real estate brokerage field to his many satisfied and loyal clients, and to the respect of his fellow associates and professionals.
Prior to entering the real estate profession, Les worked as a cartographer with the US Naval Oceanographic Office in Suitland, Maryland, and as a forester with the NC Forest Service and with the Albemarle Paper Company.
