Bio

Wallace O. Green has been a real estate advisor at TradeMark Properties for more than 10 years. As a member of TradeMark’s Land Group, he adds a wealth of knowledge and relationships that have contributed to the company’s consistent performance in providing quality professional commercial real estate services.

Urban Land – With a focus on land and underdeveloped properties in and in proximity to downtown, as well as on opportunities for the development of new suburban residential subdivisions, Wallace has worked with both property owners and developers in facilitating transactions that benefit all parties, in addition to adjacent impacted properties.

Rural Land – As a former non-profit economic development executive at Raleigh Area Development Authority, a senior official at the U.S. Department of the Interior, and current entrepreneur in renewable energy technologies, Wallace is using these experiences to deliver effective technology solutions to facilitate private and public investment in rural land for industrial, institutional, and residential development. From the Piedmont to the coast, he is helping to inform economic development officials and developers of opportunities to deploy new technologies in wastewater treatment, water re-use, as well as the potential for accessing renewable natural gas (RNG) from locally available biomass resources.

Zoning and Assemblage – Finally, Wallace has made a mark in the Raleigh area for his keen awareness that landowners can benefit from understanding the ways in which municipal decisions and real estate trends affect property values. In several instances he has advised clients and prospects regarding appraisals, rezoning, heir property, and valuation approaches; and, has led them to a network of real estate attorneys, accountants, and engineers to help ensure that their properties are either sold or developed at an optimal value.

Personal – Born in Washington, DC, Wallace and his family relocated to North Carolina in 1984 following professional experiences in marketing, public relations, both the Legislative and Executive branches of our Federal government as a Congressional committee staff director and sub-Cabinet presidential appointee at the U.S. Department of the Interior, and Vice President of the influential Council on Foundations. He left Washington to acquire and start-up precision manufacturing companies, and eventually entered the real estate profession as a developer and licensed advisor with TradeMark for over 10 years. He is a graduate of Morgan State University and holds a Masters of Science degree from Boston University.
